Opti Program 2025 - Introduction to Opti Racing Introduction to Opti Racing: $2,250/8-week season, Ages 8+ M-F 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM This class prepares students to independently rig, skipper, and race. Students should already be very comfortable on a sailboat, as Optis are single-handed vessels that are supervised by a nearby powerboat. We recommend multiple weeks of Flying Scot and/or Sunfish classes, or equivalent experience from another organization.Opti Race Team: $2,250/8-week season*, Ages 8+ M-F 12:30 to 3:30 PM This class builds upon basic racing techniques and prepares students to compete in local regattas, if they choose. Students should be able to rig and sail their Optis independently. To participate in this course, your sailor should have taken a summer of Beginner Opti Racing or have similar experience from another organization. *Additional regatta entry and coaching fees apply.

Adult Flying Scot Lessons 2025 - Adult Flying Scot Sailing Lesson Level 1 June 23-June 25 430pm-700pm The Flying Scot is a 19-foot centerboard sailboat designed for family sailing and racing. It's known for being easy to sail, store, rig, and transport.The Flying Scot program focuses on developing sailing skills though a series of courses designed to help participants reach their sailing potential. Beginner Flying Scots; Level 1This course if open to anyone who has never sailed, needs a refresher or has never sailed a Flying Scot. The course runs for four consecutive days and allows participants to experience varying weather patterns and instructor style while learning the basic sailing principles and skills.Many participants take this entry level course more than once before moving to the next level.Intermediate Flying Scots: Level 2This course expands on the basic building blocks from the beginner/level 1 class.The goal of this course is to gain confidence and independence to be come a solo skipper. This class as well is repeated more than once by most participants in order to pass a skills check to be able to independently sail at PBCB.

Youth Advanced Sailing Lessons - Youth Adventure Sail, June 30 - July 3 (Ages 10+) Sailors in the Advanced Sailing Lessons are required to be confident in rigging and skippering a sunfish with minimal assistance. Opti Program 2025 - Introduction to Opti Racing Introduction to Opti Racing: $2,250/8-week season, Ages 8+ M-F 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM This class prepares students to independently rig, skipper, and race. Students should already be very comfortable on a sailboat, as Optis are single-handed vessels that are supervised by a nearby powerboat. We recommend multiple weeks of Flying Scot and/or Sunfish classes, or equivalent experience from another organization.Opti Race Team: $2,250/8-week season*, Ages 8+ M-F 12:30 to 3:30 PM This class builds upon basic racing techniques and prepares students to compete in local regattas, if they choose. It provides an opportunity to reinforce and build your sailing skills while becoming part of a friendly community.
