Sandpiper Invitational
Pleasant Bay Community Boating's 4th Annual Sandpiper Invitational will be held the weekend of September 11-13th. Sandpiper sailors/owners and their boats are welcome! A limited number of PBCB boats will be available - please contact Peter Grumbling prior to registering to inquire about using a PBCB boat. The entrance fee is $25.00 per race participant.
All racers, community members, friends, and family are welcome to stay for our After-Party Saturday evening at 4 PM with a live band, beverages and food. Tickets are $30.00 per person. Email Suzanne Leahy with any questions and/or if you need housing.
We will facilitate launching visiting boats at Round Cove on Friday evening from 4-7 PM. We will run 5-6 races on Saturday, starting at 9 AM with a skippers' meeting. Please be sure to bring a bagged lunch.
We will take a friendly cruise around Pleasant Bay and Little Pleasant Bay on Sunday at 10 AM. This event is open to all PBCB and visiting sailors, regardless of participation in Saturday races. Participation in the cruise is $45.00 per person, but free for anybody that brought their own Sandpiper. We will help facilitate towing, de-rigging and hailing of visiting boats following the cruise.
